it's about 1.5 hours from merida to uxmal, with the earliest bus leaving at 6am, the next at 8am (we got that one 
). i really liked the architecture at uxmal, starting with this place, translated from casa del adivino, it's is the first structure you see when you come through the entrance. a 39m tall pyramid like building, it has a stair case, though you can't climb it, too bad cos the view would be pretty spectacular i think. don't ask me what the numbers on the bricks mean.
