macro photos

ok, well i've completed my first macro gallery with my new dfa100 lens. the first few are really crap smiley, but i decided to chuck them in anyway, for different reasons. i got some better subjects toward the end of the gallery, which make for some better shots (i think). the lens is working quite well, and it does seem that as well as a tripod, flash is very important. i also have noticed that manual focus (both, using the focus ring, and moving the camera) is something that i have used a fair bit too. it's been fun so far, although a little tiring, as you have to stand in a spot for a while trying to get focus on this tiny object.

anyways, just a quick post, to advertise the fact that my new macro gallery is up and available for viewing. the pic i attached was a little out, but will probably be sharp for the small version, it's pretty gross, you can see the mosquito with some crap out the end of it's tail/arse smiley.
