damn, second last game of the season for sunday basketball last night, and i suffered yet another injury. i've had a spate of injuries recently (over the past two weeks), but this is the worst. just got back from the doctor (chinese medicine), and he said i've got strained ligaments, so that's not as bad as i had thought. basically, i stepped on some guys foot while i was storming down the court, rolled my ankle, and heard some cracks. there were only a couple minutes left in the game, so i just ran it off. it was hurting though, but i don't reckon i did any extra damage, as it was still warm.
anyways, i'm on crutches at the moment, and desperately hoping that this is not going to last much longer than a week. as i said, last game of the sunday regular season next week, and then finals sunday week. i've also got ride to work day in two and a half weeks (which isn't such a big deal, since i ride most days anyway), but still, i'd rather not drive on that day. and the big one, around the bay in a day in three weeks (albeit only the 50km family ride), so hopefully it is just a strain that looks worse than it actually is.
just to mention the other injuries i've had over the past couple weeks:
i don't normally get injured, so the past two weeks have been a bit strange. hopefully this will wear off soon, not exercising for a couple weeks should cure that
.
the picture doesn't show quite how swollen the ankle is, with the bandage on it, and the lack of a comparison ankle, but yeah, think 70 year old over weight woman (no pc here
).

oh no!... you should have played tennis...
or maybe playing tennis is the reason you are getting injuries? ![]()
haha hopefully this will give me some sort of advantage for the 50km ride. ![]()

yeah, well it's too late for me to get a refund, so will just have to see how long this takes to heal. it's gonna be pretty bad, no exercise at all pretty much until it's better
