it was alf's turn to drive, as we headed to cardrona (the family resort). on the way, we were going up this windy road, and this ute pulled over to let us past, but then he started following us pretty closely, it was like that film by spielberg, duel. eventually he went some other way, and we were all right
. another little mishap when we arrived, alf pulled over on the side of the road cos other cars were parked there, but then we found out that proper parking was further up. alf had some issues getting the car going again (i wasn't much help), eventually we got up there safely. it was real busy, the busiest of all the resorts we went to, possibly because it was a sunday, and the locals could go have a go.
we started off by going on this blue run (i think), and it just seemed really steep and hard. eventually we found our way to an easier run, which was really good (for me). it was definitely my favourite run of all. we did that for a while, i fell over less, and all was well.
afterwards, when we were going back to queenstown, there was this one guy going 60 in a 100 zone, and there was heaps of traffic backed up. i can't remember for how long, but it would've been for several minutes at least.
after a bit of wandering around, we decided to drop into avanti for dinner. we got garlic bread (again), i had spaghetti carbonara (which was good, i thought it was a little small though), alf had lasagne, we washed our meals down with steinlagers. we headed back and prepared for our fourth day of snow boarding in a row, at treble cone.
