ok, after a two week layoff while on holidays, i'm gonna make a quick update about last night's game, cos i forgot to last night. we've pretty much assured ourselves of a finals berth, but it would be good to clinch it. anyways, we faced gus & frank, and obviously it was going to be a tough game. it was tight the whole way, we lead midway through the second half, but they managed to pull ahead late, and we weren't able to respond, losing 37-34. especially bad was losing andy in the first half, he hurt his ankle when one of their players landed on him (no foul call), and he was out for the game, and probably the next few weeks.
i was a bit rusty, despite playing on sunday, missing a few runners. wills shot really well, and nailed some nice jump shots. the score was tied at 34 late, but with six seconds left, they broke the tie with a free throw, then stole the ball in our back court and finished it off with two more. so a bit disappointing, but certainly not discouraging in any way.
one more week before finals, if we can win next week, we'll be assured of second spot, either way, i think we'll be playing gus and frank (unless we drop to fourth (which could happen)), it's going to be tough whoever we play in the finals though, so it doesn't really matter who we play.
i scored eight points, and was 4/5 from the line, before missing two more to finish 4/7, missed a bunch of field goals too. 174 points, and 34/58 from the line for the season. the boys got two wins (one due to forfeit 
) while i was away (which was good), so our record currently stands at 12-7.
