me and alf went to ozzy's new place in the city last night, and after the footy, we decided to go catch the 11.20pm film at melbourne central, which turned out to be knocked up. i had only seen the ad on tv, and only knew it to be a romantic comedy. but ozzy said that it was made by the guy that did 40 year old virgin, so i was ok with that. it 's about a chick (allison) that goes out dancing to celebrate a promotion, and gets pregnant when she does it with this guy (ben) she meets at the club.
she decides to have the baby, and the rest of the film is about the two trying to get along and making the best of a bad situation. i don't know who any of the cast was, but they all did a pretty solid job. the only problem was, of course, that there was a bit too much of the sister in law going nuts, but maybe that accentuated the other parts. it was a good film (quite surprising), the funniest parts being the comic relief (of course), ben's stoner household and their crazy plans/ideas/lifestyle. not as good as 40 year old virgin or there's something about mary, but in the end, it was a film worth watching. the other film we were going to watch was blades of glory with will ferrell, but that was on twenty minutes later, but i don't think we lost anything by seeing this.
