last time we played these guys, we beat them by a few points (but we controlled the game pretty much), i just remember them being dirty, and one guy who wouldn't shut up. we were missing andy and lawrence tonight, we got andrew woo to fill in for us. the first half was pretty ordinary, we were getting decent shots, but they weren't dropping, we trailed 5-17. the second half was a bit better, but we couldn't overcome the big lead (despite some big threes from simon), losing 22-28. defensively, we didn't allow them to score too much obviously, but we weren't able to capitalise at the other end.
the ball was ultra slippery, i was definitely having issues holding onto it, and dribbling, as were the others (same for both sides i guess, but they should still do better). they certainly didn't ease up on the dirty tactics, fouling hard, and fouling multiple times after the ref had already blown the whistle. that's not counting all the fouls that the refs missed, i was getting hacked and shoved constantly, they must have missed at least five obvious calls. we had that fat blonde bitch ref (who is just hopeless, and biased). we just weren't able to rotate well enough when they were making their passes inside (they did that well). still, they only scored 28 points, we just couldn't get it in the basket at the other end. we definitely missed andy's rebounding, and inside scoring.
oh well, enough of that disgraceful game, i scored eight points to take me to 123 points, and made 4/6 from the line (shoulda been a lot more, but they called several "before the shot" fouls (which were bs), and just plain missed others), for 25/42. we drop to 9-3 on the season, but i think we will remain in the top four still.
