playing the top team in the division, with our six game winning streak (including the bye), we wanted to keep the momentum going. we know that the finals spot is sort of out of our hands (we're in fifth spot), but we know that if keep winning, we're every chance to snatch fourth. we were beaten by these guys last time, but we were desperate to keep our streak alive this time. after a tight first half (i think the score was 20-all), we got in front, and were able to hang on for a three point win, 39-36. it was a really tough game (i think the refs were pretty ordinary, i didn't get any of the calls i normally get 
), but we were able to dig deep and came up with some big scores when we need to.
simon was huge in the first half, scoring on a heap of jump shots and cuts. while lawrie stepped it up in the second half, making some key shots, and giving me some easy baskets. unfortunately, damo injured his ankle early in the first half, and couldn't play on (hopefully it's not too bad). defensively, i think we were pretty good, forcing some tough shots, although we probably could've rebounded a bit better (will and andy did their jobs, i was terrible).
we probably could've won by more, if we made some of those tough shots we often make (i know i missed plenty of layups that i normally make (including the ones where i thought i was fouled)), but they probably missed a few they thought they should've made too. i almost blew it at the end, taking the inbounds pass, i tried to throw a long one to henry, but their main guy picked it off, and threw a half court hail mary, fortunately he missed.
i felt crap today (maybe not riding, my legs just felt tired), hopefully i'm more energised next week. i ended up with 11 points and was 1/3 from the line 
. season tallies 156 points, and 33/65 from the line. we're now on a seven game run, and play the second team next week (we lost last time), so hopefully we get up again, to keep the mighty boys juggernaut rolling.

we've moved into fourth place (by one point) with that win, spartans lost to the bottom team, which has opened the door for us. our fate is in our own hands now, we just ahve to keep winning, and we will be certain of making the finals.
