just a quick site update, yep, another boring, technical post. anyways, even though i hide my coding language, and server details, etc, i've upgraded to php 5.2.2 (released just after the mopb), and also almost up to zend framework 1.0. we're on beta 0.93 at the moment, updating the server pretty much whenever it is updated by the zf team. the only real change to the site, and it's not even cosmetic, is i've reworked the search. i am now using search lucene (the zend framework version), and i think it's working well.
after using it at work, and seeing how effective it is, i decided to have a go on my site. the only problem that i've noticed, i'm not sure that the index is being updated properly without rebuilding it completely. anyways, that's all, the other thing i'm sort of working on, is making my gallery uploads not need to be resized, or watermarked, if a certain flag is set, eg. i resize them first, then upload them and it just puts them in the right place, and updates the db, no image processing is done on the server.
that's all for now, there isn't a great deal of development going on here at the moment, i'm sure something will get me going again soon.
