quick post, got a few 8gb sandisk extreme iii sdhc cards on ebay, cos the price was good, hopefully with this batch, i won't have to erase any pictures at all on my odyssey in south america. they take me up to 49gb of memory card storage, which i'm guessing is about 4 900 pictures, that's a lot of pictures, but we'll see how snap happy i am. the speed of transfer is awesome, i didn't scientifically measure the difference between copying 80mb of pictures from the extreme iii card vs an ultra ii card, but it was definitely noticeable, and it means i can up the speed on the transfer for my hyperspace card reader. it's all coming together now

the picture attached, that's pretty much how they arrived, they were in a bright yellow envelope, and didn't come with the micromate readers that the normal packaged ones come with, hence the cheap prices i guess. lucky i have one already, and one other that seems to have gone missing. anyway, as dodgy as the packaging looked, they all work well, so hopefully i can fill them up with beautiful photos. the colour on the top one is just a reflection or something, it looks the same as all the others.
