that's right, i'm switching this site to all spanish all the time 
. just a bit of a general dtra update, obviously, the spanish course has started, and we just had our first lesson last week (i did not learn rojo de cohete (red rocket) there). the red rocket refers to my bicycle, and my new specialised air force helmet, was gonna get the blue one, but thought, the red one would match better. we had some confusion in the spanish class, as some of it seemed to be different to the cd we've been listening to (but i guess all languages have multiple ways to express things).
it's good, some of what the instructor said , i already understood a bit, so it wasn't overwhelming or anything, though, being put on the spot was a bit of a battle. we've got seven lessons (total) and hopefully some of it will rub off on me, and hopefully some spanish films on sbs will make some sense without the subtitles (no matter how ridiculous they are!!).
a bit over two months out from the holiday to mexico, so plans are in the works. i'm desperately trying to resist myself from buying the pentax da21 before the holiday. it looks like a very neat little lens, and a space saver, as well as very quality. pentax has announced their two latest digital slr bodies, the k20d and the k200d, which i am justifying not buying, by the fact that i would also need a new computer (and also the more obvious fact that my current k100d is perfectly fine). that should be more than enough to fight any urge to in that regard.
basketball has been a bit of a struggle the past couple of weeks, fitness is still not back, and i re-rolled my ankle a little on thursday, as well as having some of the worst refereeing decisions against myself and the team that i have witnessed for some time. hopefully my fitness is back up before this holiday.
anyways, happy (chinese) new year everyone, and good luck for the year of the rat. btw, happy birthday alf, your present? i'll comment on your next picture on flickr .
