got this new tent from aussie disposals for the purpose of camping trips, and hiking, etc. went down to lorne this past weekend, so i thought i might as well get the tent now. i tried it out, and after spending a couple of cosy nights in it under the clear skies, i thought i'd post a little about it. it's very small and easily fits into your backpack or whatever you're using. it didn't rain (fortunately), so i can't say how it would've handled that, the sides of the tent before the mesh starts are quite low, so i'm not sure how well it would've handled rain (it was fine with dew smiley). i don't think i felt the cold any worse than normal, despite not having any long sleeves.

it was pretty easy to set up, even for me, and did manage to hold me (fully stretched), a carry bag, and my camera backpack without too much hassle. obviously, it's not the type of tent that you would want to spend much more than a few days in, but i wouldn't want to do that in any tent, really. the base is quite thin, so yes, very light, but tough, i'm not sure, i hope so. certainly, it's very handy when you want to travel light (and that's what i prefer), and it is quite cheap too.

photo taken from the castle rock lookout with my 50-200mm lens, my tent is the one the arrow is pointing at (duh)
