just a couple of notes before the holiday season starts, i don't finish work till monday. i've applied for leave in april, heading to mexico for a few weeks, so hopefully that gets approved, gotta buy those airfares soon, they keep going up. can't take any leave before then, cos i won't have enough for the holiday, also, quite busy at the moment, so i don't think i could even get unpaid leave (which is unfortunate, cos a couple of friends are driving to alice springs after christmas and into the new year) 
, too bad for me. one good thing though, it seems that i won't have to go into work over the holiday period (as was discussed) because i won't be taking much part in one of the other projects

although, i may have to, as i ordered the naneu pro alpha, and had it shipped to my work address, i don't think it's going to arrive before christmas eve, so there's a chance it will arrive next week, which would suck (it's already left america, but that's all i know), the tracking service isn't particularly great, and it also took ages (like a couple days) from received to transported. it's a pretty cool backpack, i hope it's not too big or anything, no one in australia has it.
i was so close to buying the pentax 35mm f/2 lens last night, but decided not to, as it probably wouldn't arrive in a timely fashion at this time of year. had it in the cart, and was about to check out, but common sense took over . i'll prolly get it before i go to mexico, or something.
here's a silly one, when you have two bikes, you should probably have two helmets, two sets of lights, etc. i took off for work today on my old mountain bike, and forgot to put my helmet on, something just didn't feel right (also the bike felt totally foreign), i also couldn't ride all the way home due to the weather, and the lack of lights/reflectors, so i had to train it, and guess what happens, the trains are delayed public transport is bs.
and finally, boooooo, i've got nothing planned over holidays, someone think of something fast.
