this cute little bee very generously buzzed right into my shot. i was actually taking a macro of the flower he landed on, i quickly snapped him up before he took off. i actually took a picture of the flower 19 seconds earlier, but i decided to post this picture, it looks a bit better i think 
. his eye is much different from that of flies (and other fly-related insects). i tried to get another bee (or maybe it was the same one) on a different flower, but it wasn't as good a model as this one. this is a cactus flower in case you were wondering, taken from on top of the south platform.
